Nous consommons de plus en plus de bois pour nous chauffer, construire nos bâtiments, nos meubles ou tout simplement fabriquer notre papier. En 2018, selon la FAO, près de 4 milliards de m3 de bois ont été récoltés pour satisfaire nos besoins mondiaux. Si le bois est un matériau écologique dont l’utilisation permet, entre autre, de prolonger le cycle de vie, sa production, elle, n’est pas forcément durable.
Notre objectif : Sécuriser la chaîne d’approvisionnement contre la déforestation et l’exploitation illégale des forêts.
Every minute, the equivalent of 22 football fields of forest are destroyed from the surface of the planet, along with all the people who live in them.
We consume more and more wood to heat our homes, build our buildings, make our furniture or simply make our paper. In 2018, according to the FAO, nearly 4 billion m3 of wood were harvested to meet our global needs. Although wood is an ecological material whose use allows, among other things, to extend its life cycle, its production is not necessarily sustainable.
Our objective: to secure the supply chain against deforestation and illegal logging.
